Unstoppable Health with Ritamarie Loscalzo
Description
Are you dragging on your days … hazy or tired?
Are you living with chronic fatigue or pain that prevents you from participating in activities you once loved?
Or maybe stress is taking its toll on your immune system … You may even have a medical condition for which you have been diagnosed with a wastebasket, such as inflammatory bowel syndrome. Dr. Ritamari, Founder of the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology, can help you research natural and effective treatments for thyroid, adrenal, insulin, and other imbalances (that fuel disease-expressing genes), helping you move towards unstoppable health. Dr. Ritamari, once drained and brain-clouded, immersed herself in study and research until she developed her own (now proven) system for guiding others to unstoppable health. This system focuses on seven pillars of health, each of which affects the proper functioning of your hormones, brain, and other vital body systems. Over seven live video sessions, Dr. Ritamari will give you simple choices and practices based on your genetics to help you get to the root causes – and change – those conditions. It also demystifies genetic testing. A simple and inexpensive test can give you clues to how your body reacts to the environment and the foods you eat, as well as how you exercise, sleep, and relieve stress. WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER IN THESE 7 WEEKS Classes are held on Tuesdays at noon PST. In this 7-week transformational intensive, Dr. Ritamari guides you through the fundamental skills and competencies you will need to achieve and maintain unshakable health. This course will include live teachings, interactive training, experiential practices, and Q&A sessions with Dr. Ritamari. Each weekly live contemplation and training will build harmoniously on previous ones so that you will develop a complete holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles you will need to feel energized, energized, and in control of your health and your life. MODULE 1: ACCESSING YOUR INNER KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO HEAL (JULY 31) We’ll start by giving you the tools to test your inner knowledge of what you value and want most in life. Connecting with your deepest desires allows you to make the right choices about how to live. You will receive tools to help you tap into this powerful inner guidance when you need to make choices about your daily habits — eating, moving, sleeping, interacting, and enjoyable activities. In this module, you will: Define Your Core Values and Your Big Why Explore the 2 branches of the autonomic nervous system and the effect they have on your healing potential Understand how the endocrine system, which controls hormonal function, is actually the body’s master regulator. Learn how to tell when your body is in anxiety and quickly return to equanimity with a powerful breathing exercise Explore why your genes are only part of your destiny – your thoughts, environment, diet, and environment are major influencing factors Gain insight into how your daily choices can enhance your innate healing mechanisms.
MODULE 3: FOOD AS A MEDICINE CREATING YOUR PERSONAL EATING PLAN (AUGUST 14) (PRE-RECORDED) In this module, you will learn about the role of food in maintaining the balance of hormones, brain and body systems. It is clear that the standard Western diet is imperfect; it’s loaded with too many processed foods for your body to handle adequately. There are so many meal plans out there, each of which claims to be “right” for all people. In fact, most of them have their pros and cons, and the “truth” for you is to determine the best choice for you based on your unique circumstances. We’ll look at the pros and cons of different meal plans and help you determine which or which hybrid of several is best for you based on your genetics, your health history and laboratory research, and your current symptoms. You will learn which foods are harmful and which foods are treating your hormones and digestive system, and how to make the best choices at each meal. There is a lot of information floating around on the internet, and many people become “food phobias” because wherever you go, you are likely to find another report that brands “previously healthy” food as “bad.” After this module, you will: Know the role of foods in balancing your hormones and understand the special considerations required for your specific genetic patterns Understand what nutritional imbalances contribute to hormonal imbalances and what specific foods you can eat to help you restore balance Know how to understand the “food religions” that tell you to eat this and not eat that without considering your specific needs Know how to choose foods for your own needs and how to tune in to your own body to determine which foods are incompatible with your good health Understand how to relax and enjoy delicious whole foods that nourish and support healthy digestion, detoxification, and hormonal balance. MODULE 4: OPTIMIZE YOUR DIGESTION AND DETOXIFICATION (AUGUST 21) Digestion and detoxification efficiency is vital to the proper functioning of the entire body. Without effective digestion, the barrier that normally protects your blood flow from the toxins you digest is disrupted. The chemicals that enter the bloodstream as a result of this disruption burden the body’s natural defense and detoxification systems – the immune system and, in particular, the liver. In this module, we will look at the importance of a well-tuned digestive system to restore and maintain optimal health. We will look at the role of digestion in brain health and the effect of stress on digestion. We will look at the liver’s role in protecting against a variety of toxins found in food, water, and air. Hormonal balance is closely related to gut health and the effectiveness of your detox systems. We take a look at how these systems interact and what you can do in terms of diet and lifestyle to optimize your detoxification and digestive systems. We will also examine the phases of liver detoxification and the effect of an overworked detox system on fat digestion, blood sugar, vitamin and mineral status. At the end of this module, you: Understand how your digestion works and how to optimize it so your entire body functions at its best Know how to optimize your own detoxification systems, and which nutrients, herbs, and foods are important to include and exclude to optimize your detoxification ability Know how to fine tune your digestive system and how to optimize your gut-brain connection Understand the role of stress and genetics in the functioning of your digestion, as well as the influence of genes on your microbiome and probiotic needs.
MODULE 5: THE MAGIC OF A BALANCED BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL (AUGUST 28) We will explore why balanced blood sugar is so important not only for diabetes prevention, but also for the optimal functioning of every part of your body. We’ll talk about how your body works to maintain stable blood sugar, what foods and lifestyle factors can throw it out of balance, and the long and short term damage that uncontrolled blood sugar can create. We’ll go over all the factors that are under your control and the specific actions you can take today to control your blood sugar. You will look at specific foods, nutrients, exercise, stress management techniques, and lifestyle habits that you can implement now. You will receive detailed information on supplements and herbs you can use to improve your blood sugar balance, as well as how to measure your own blood sugar at home. In this module, you will: Find out why blood sugar balance is critical to optimal functioning of your entire body Understand how to measure your own blood sugar at home so you can make daily choices that keep you in balance Find out which foods you need to reduce or avoid, and which foods you need to eat more to keep your blood sugar in balance Understand the importance of a good night’s sleep for maintaining blood sugar balance Learn about genetic trends that may signal you to be more careful with your diet and lifestyle MODULE 6: CREATING HORMONAL HARMONY (SEPTEMBER 4) Hormones control everything. You may just think that hormones are related to reproduction and sex, but in reality, they control everything you do. There are literally hundreds of hormones that we know about, and many more that we don’t know about. In this module, you will learn how hormones control your daily functioning. Together we will take a look at the inner workings of your endocrine system and the hormones it produces. You will learn about hormones that control your appetite, digestion, immune system, metabolic rate, and more. You will learn how your genes affect hormone levels, and how your diet and lifestyle affect the expression of these genes. We will pay special attention to thyroid, adrenal and sex hormones and their relationship. You will learn about specific foods, nutrients and herbs that affect your hormonal balance, and you will have access to several delicious hormonal balance recipes. After completing this module, you: Know how to keep your hormones in balance using food, nutrients, and lifestyle choices so you can control your appearance and feel Understand the interactions between genes, hormones, and food so you can make better choices Be able to quickly and easily create delicious hormone-balancing dishes Understand the concept of hormonal resistance and how simply taking hormones to replace those that are low does not lead to the underlying cause of low levels. Know how to request the correct testing of your hormones so you know their levels and can evaluate the effectiveness of your diet, lifestyle, and supplement choices.
